Our Mission

DECARBONIZE AVIATION.
EXPAND MARKETS.

Electra builds aircraft to help decarbonize aviation. Our journey begins with a hybrid-electric, short takeoff and landing (eSTOL) aircraft designed to make regional air mobility more accessible.

Our eSTOL aircraft uses our patented blown-lift technology to take off and land in spaces as small as 300x100ft, providing operational flexibility comparable to a helicopter, yet with the safety and economics of a fixed-wing aircraft.

The hybrid-electric propulsion system gives operators maximum flexibility to optimize energy use, with electric power for clean, quiet operations and hybrid mix for longer routes.

ELECTRA’S ESTOL:
A NEW CATEGORY
OF AIRCRAFT

Operations from soccer field-sized spaces with the simplicity of a fixed-wing aircraft.

What is eSTOL?

ULTRA-SHORT TAKEOFFS AND LANDINGS FOR SPACE-CONSTRAINED LOCATIONS

Electra’s eSTOL technology combines the best of aviation, enabling takeoff and landing in incredibly short distances, to go where today only helicopters can go, without compromising on speed or range. Yet safer and quieter.

Electra’s eSTOL uses a fraction of the space needed for a conventional aircraft to take off and land. Access the smallest airstrips, barges or converted parking lots to open up air service to many more communities.

TECH DEMONSTRATOR

TECHNOLOGY THAT
IS PROVEN IN FLIGHT

Our eSTOL technology demonstrator aircraft is undergoing extensive flight testing, proving the performance and safety of the blown-lift and hybrid-electric propulsion technology.

Electra’s tech demonstrator is a piloted two-seat aircraft, rated for flight testing with people onboard.

Travel Transformed

REIMAGINE REGIONAL MOBILITY AFFORDABLE. COMMUNITY FRIENDLY.

Get closer to where people depart from and where they need to go. Electra’s eSTOL technology makes regional air travel practical and affordable for trips up to 500 miles.

Access small airports, vertiports, or locations without a traditional runway.
