OUR TEAM
Okan Akbay is an esteemed alumnus of Middle Eastern Technical University, where he majored in Molecular Biology and Genetics. He served as the Vice President of International Business & Project Development at Atempo Group, a conglomerate in the Electronics and Technology sector. In 2009, he founded IPA Defence in Turkey, collaborating with prominent defense companies like Chemring, BAE Systems, and Safran Group. Akbay spearheaded initiatives in 3D manufacturing and testing for mine detection technologies, including a successful partnership with NIITEK for vehicle-mounted mine detection systems. Furthering his contributions to defense technology, he established TFO LLC in Virginia, USA, in 2012, to facilitate the supply of critical defense products from the US to Turkey, specializing in ISR, mine detection.
Zeynep Ceyhan graduated from Wellesley College with a degree in Psychology and Philosophy. She later worked as a research assistant and a coordinator at Bahçeşehir University’s Maritime and Global Strategies Center. Subsequently, she advanced her studies in law at the Univerity of Southampton. Her academic articles have been published in various universities in Turkey and Israel. Professionally, Ceyhan excelled as the Head of Business Development and Export at Qmetal A.Ş., leading initiatives in high-voltage cable, generator, and transformer technologies in key markets of West Africa and South Korea. Her proficiency in English and Korean complements her global strategic outlook. In her capacity as Chief Strategy Officer, Ceyhan’s diverse educational background and international experience are instrumental in guiding company-wide strategic growth.
